Discussion: Professional Development Sessions

by Janet Lee Stinson

The worst thing is to sign up for a presentation/workshop at the board office, plan your day, leave your students with some unknown supply teacher only to find that the board is offering the standard lecture style PD session. You know the one, “Make sure you differentiate in your classrooms even though I’m not doing it with you.” The best PD sessions I have attended are usually interactive with lots of time for sharing.

What’s the best professional development session you have ever attended? What made it great?
